What a wonderful time it was to learn about and connect with a wide variety of technology companies and organizations during the CWIT Tech Company Meet & Greet hosted at PVCC. The tech scene is clearly thriving in Charlottesville and there is something for everyone.

Bonumose
Bonumose is a food ingredient manufacturer specializing in the affordable production of delicious, good-for-you sugars such as tagatose and allulose. Built on innovative, enzymatic technology discovered by Dr. Daniel Wichelecki, Bonumose developed a novel platform to produce naturally-occurring ingredients in commercial-scale quantities that would not otherwise be cost-effective or sustainable. Our Charlottesville location is growing with future positions in manufacturing, sales, and R&D.
C4K
C4K combines mentoring and technology to prepare youth for brighter futures. With 1-to-1 mentoring centered on project-based learning, self-directed exploration in the Clubhouse supported by group mentors, as well as workshops and field trips that offer STEAM experiences, C4K's programs focus on critical educational and workforce skills.

Today, CHG is leveraging its expertise to bring the latest generation of electronic games to the $30B Tribal market, blending compelling character animations with engaging storylines to create a uniquely immersive player experience.

Center for Open Science
The Center for Open Science (COS) is a nonprofit culture change organization with a mission to increase openness, integrity, and reproducibility of scientific research. COS pursues this mission by building communities around open science practices, supporting metascience research, and developing and maintaining free, open source software tools, including the Open Science Framework (OSF).
Central Development Lab
Founded in 1956, the NRAO provides state-of-the-art radio telescope facilities for use by the international scientific community. NRAO telescopes are open to all astronomers regardless of institutional or national affiliation. Observing time on NRAO telescopes is available on a competitive basis to qualified scientists after evaluation of research proposals on the basis of scientific merit, the capability of the instruments to do the work, and the availability of the telescope during the requested time. NRAO also provides both formal and informal programs in education and public outreach for teachers, students, the general public, and the media.

Tech-Girls
Tech-Girls is the K-12 outreach arm of CWIT. It was founded in 2012 with a mission to empower girls to imagine and achieve their future dreams in our tech-savvy world. With the support of awesome volunteers and local organizations, Tech-Girls brings hands-on tech-related programming to girls throughout the region. You can support Tech-Girls by volunteering for, donating to, and sharing our mission!
TechLink Central VA
We aim to retain talent in the region by connecting University of Virginia and community college students with regional businesses that have open entry-level tech positions in the IT, Biotechnology, Financial & Business Services and Light Manufacturing industries.
VDI
VDI’s mission is to make the terahertz region of the electromagnetic spectrum as useful for scientific, military and commercial applications as the microwave and infrared bands are today. VDI manufactures state-of-the-art test and measurement equipment for mm-wave and THz applications. These products include Vector Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer and Signal Generator Extension Modules that extend the capability of high performance microwave measurement tools to higher frequencies. VDI's component products include detectors, mixers, frequency multipliers and custom systems for reliable operation at frequencies between 50 GHz and 2 THz. All VDI components include in-house fabricated GaAs Schottky diodes and microelectronic filter structures.
