Join us at one our events to connect with other women, foster learning, and engage with the Charlottesville tech scene.  CWIT events are usually free and open to all women in our community. If you are new to or have been in technology for many years, you will find a welcoming and safe environment to engage.

 There are many ways to get connected to Charlottesville's vibrant tech scene. Check out this list of events and resources curated by CWIT to help guide your way.

CBIC Tech on Tap, a monthly series of happy hours held on the 2nd Tuesdays from 5:00–7:00 p.m.

Charlottesville Entrepreneurs + Espresso (ce-2) is a casual gathering of learning for entrepreneurs at all stages of venture creation on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 8:00am.

Cville Makes is a meetup group sharing and creating projects while working toward making a makerspace a reality in Cville.

First Wednesdays is an informal, ad-hoc, technology-agnostic meetup held on the 1st Wednesday of the month starting at 8:00pm.


Charlottesville Business Innovation Council (CBIC) has a mission to educate, celebrate and advocate for Charlottesville’s technology community and to accelerate technology innovation and entrepreneurship in the region. CBIC Connect

Cville Slack is a quick and easy way to catch the ear of the local tech community.

Hub CVA is a
is a regional connector platform for entrepreneurs and high-growth businesses in Central Virginia’s Region 9, which includes the city of Charlottesville, and the counties of Albemarle, Culpeper, Fauquier, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, Madison, Nelson, Orange, and Rappahannock.

The Neon Guild listserv offers another avenue to reach local tech folks. To get on this famous list, however, you have to attend at least one of their monthly meetings (except summer).

Our vision is to bridge the gender gap in tech by providing a safe and welcoming environment for women and girls to connect, learn and collaborate in Charlottesville.
